The fair, which includes local farm animals, contests, carnival fare and more, will take place from Friday, Sept. 6 to Sunday, Sept. 8. This year’s theme, “Back to the Garden,” is an homage to the 1969 Woodstock Music Festival:

“The theme ‘Back to the Garden’ is a perfect way to acknowledge the contributions that local families make to our community and to the larger environment. From the smallest backyard garden to the largest farm, every vegetable grown and animal raised is a benefit to our way of life,” Yorktown Grange Fair Association officials say. “We couldn’t think of a better way to thank everyone than to make it our 2019 Yorktown Grange Fair theme.”

With a tractor parade at 12 p.m. Saturday and a series of produce and flower shows in the Mulcahey Building, this year’s fair features something for everyone.

The Grange Building will be filled with homemade baking, handcrafted needlework, photos, art and Legos. There’s even a “New Artisan Area” which will display handmade items for sale by local artisans.

As always, the fair includes live music and entertainment throughout the day as well as a large variety of food and craft beer vendors.

Pricing for the fair is $10 per carload with free parking. For more information, click here.
